Hello Beautiful People,
So one of my goals over the summer was to add more stops to my café crawl. I did not frequent as many new places as I would have hoped, but I was certainly a repeat offender at one particular stop! New to the Ottawa downtown core, Le Moulin de Provence KD opened this summer at Metcalfe and Queen. Though its claim to fame is the “Obama cookie” as the President graced the sister store in the Byward Market during his first visit to the city; Le Moulin de Provence KD is so much than its cookies. They serve a wide range of bistro items, with everything from cold salads to pressed paninis. Now for the more important items – the desserts. Their selection of desserts is to dieee for! I’m not usually crazy about cheesecake but their berry topped New York style cheesecake was everything! I also love everything tart and the almond tart was yummy as well. Even though I downplayed the infamous cookies before, they really are tasty. The shortbread cookie was a nice treat alongside my loose leaf pot of tea – and the shapes and decoration of the cookies are just too cute!
I loved spending my lunch hour at Le Moulin de Provence, not only for the quality food but the bright and minimalist decor! Definitely worth checking out if you work in the Ottawa downtown core!
