beyond the function

“No great artist sees things as they really are; if he did he would cease to be an artist.”
-Oscar Wilde

I find we often take nature for granted. We see a tree for what it is and simply pass it by. Now I’m not saying there is deep symbolic connotative representation to the tree – but I do think sometimes we only see nature for its function as opposed to its fashion. So much beauty lies in the world around us yet it is often overlooked as we are so fixed on our narrow defination of beauty. When was the last time you looked out at the world and acknowledged the flawless artistry and craftsmanship of God?

All recognition to the greatest interior designer and landscaper of all time. So much more than just a tree – God has ornately adorned this earth with grace and beauty – Enjoy it!

These are some photos I took in Toronto at the Scarborough Bluffs on Lake Ontario. The scenery was remarkable, I can’t wait to go back and see the park at a different vantage point. IMG_8230 IMG_8069 IMG_8099 IMG_8104 IMG_8105 IMG_8106 IMG_8121 IMG_8147 IMG_8153 IMG_8168 IMG_8346
